Oh hell yeah! This preview makes me that much more excited about the SD Comic-Con panel that is in a couple weeks. Here is a preview to Razor the Battlestar Galactica TV movie.
Plot summery from Wikipedia:
According to IGN, "the movie will indeed focus on an untold story about the Battlestar Pegasus, and feature Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) ... While this story with Cain occurs before she and the Pegasus crew joined up with Galactica, the entire cast of the regular series will appear in the movie, as the Pegasus portion is portrayed via flashbacks"[2].
Ronald D. Moore has stated, "The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4."[3] He added, "One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that."[4] Moore has also said, "We'll try to reassemble most of the Pegasus cast."[5]

It looks like all the bootleg copies of the trailer for "Cloverfield" or "Untitled 1-18-08" have been taken down, including the one I linked on this blog. Paramount has however put up a better quality trailer up on Apple Trailers. The Bad Robot logo at the beginning of the trailer gets me really excited because it reminds me of LOST. This better not turn out to be a piece of shit movie. The noise though does resemble the monster from lost...and the font for 1-18-08 looks like the font for the numbers.

I used to watch Get Smart when I was a kid on Nick at Nite with my Gma, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Remember when I was telling you guys how crazy J.J. Abrams' was making me? Well here are a couple more things to get the wheels turning.
Acording to Coming Soon.net:
Three official sites for the movie have been discovered (see links above), one of which includes a set of five games you have to complete in order to get a key word needed for an event that will happen on August 1st.
Yeah....I can't read it either!!! Below I copied and pasted an entry to the Ethanhasswaswrong Blog. What the hell. Those sites mentioned are Ethanhaaswasright.com
Ethanhasswaswrong.blogspot.com
and 1-18-08
Visit the sites if you want to be confused or rip your hair out. I opted just to be confused because lets face it, growing your hair out is a bitch.

Are you guys getting sick of Shia yet? I'm not. Here are some scans from this months Vanity Fair.
Interesting facts about Shia:
* He grew up in Echo Park (yes you read that right)
* His father was a clown (literally) and a drug trafficker
* His mom was a Ballerina and his Gpa escaped Nazis in Poland
* He [shia] along with his father would dress up like clowns and sell hot dogs on the streets
* At age 10 he was doing stand up and calling agents himself
* He threatened a neighbor with a knife and got arrested
* He broke up with his first real love after dating for 3 years (he couldn't devote time)
I thought the article was interesting but he kind of strikes me as a person who stretches the truth in order to tell a really good story.

Cult favorite Kristen Bell wont let her TV show cancellation get her down...thank God. She is making a leap to the big screen as one of the leads in a new movie called FANBOYS. I'm actually excited about this. I'm not sure what her role is but I'm assuming she is playing a "fangirl". Rarely do we get to see females in the roles of fangirls (unless it's about cute boys) because generally speaking I think It's men who get submersed in the geek culture. I'm not sure why that is but the girl/boy geek ratio is really off. I really hope I'm not wrong because if she is playing the annoyed girlfriend I will be disappointed. Kristen Bell has done a great job of picking strong female characters (Veronica Mars), so here is to hoping she portrays us [geek girls] accurately. It also stars Jay Baruchel who I thought was really funny in UNDECLARED.
Plot Summary: In this riotous new road movie from producer Kevin Spacey, a group of friends who are avid Star Wars fans travel west to see the Holly Grail of all sci-fi movies, "Star Wars: Episode I." The year is 1999 and for these death star dorks, the Star Wars films are more than just movies; they are a way of life. So, after one of the group takes sick it is nothing short of a moral imperative that the friends break into George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch to watch the seminal sci-fi picture together before its release. Enlisting the help of an estranged friend, who has traded in his Darth Vader mask for a proper day job, the adventure lays way to some extremely funny situations, including an outrageous brawl with some hard-core Trekkies.

J.J. Abrams' is seriously going to be the death of me. Not only did he create the most mind boggling show in TV history but now he likes to mess with us while we are at the theater. It's not enough for him confuse us in our homes but now he does it while we are waiting for [insert movie] to play. I recently saw Transformers as most of you know and they played a preview for something that seriously left me saying "what the frak"??!! You can watch a really crappy bootleg version of the trailer below.
In a similar fashion to the LOST fandom, fans of Abrams are flocking to the internet trying to put the pieces together. Yeah, I got suckered into this mess too. As you can see, I couldn't save the pictures from the official website (1-18-08) so I used the ever handy print screen button on my computer. Why even have a website if you can't click on anything! What could this movie be about? Godzilla? War? The monster from Lost?

Release Date: August 17th
I love Michael Cera more and more as the days go by. For those of you who watched Arrested Development (if you haven't stop reading this and go buy it at Target) he played the cousin loving teenager; George Michael Bluth. His new movie coming out called 'SuperBad' was written by Seth Rogen (Knocked Up, Freaks and Geeks) and produced by Judd Apatow (40 year old virgin) and looks hilarious. If the people behind this are any indication of what is in store for us, then I'm really excited. Anyway, Michael Cera has some of the best comedic timing I have ever seen. He plays the role of the awkward teenager so perfectly that he makes you believe that maybe he fumbles his way through real life. I doubt that is the case though. Here is a summery of SuperBad via AOL:
'Superbad,' a coming-of-age cautionary tale about two socially inept teenage boys about to graduate high school. Theirs is a ridiculously dependent friendship -- but now they've gotten into different colleges and are forced to contemplate life apart. Evan (Michael Cera) is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth (Jonah Hill) is foul-mouthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. This is the story of their misguided attempts to reverse a lifelong losing streak with the ladies in one panic-driven night... that awful, humiliating night you cherish for the rest of your life.

An open letter to the cast of License to Wed from the lovely people at Best Week Ever.
LINK
Best Week Ever Blog:
So License To Wed came out this week, opened to dismal box office numbers, and will soon be consigned to its rightful place between Failure To Launch and You, Me And Dupree in the pantheon of movies that will only be seen at 2am on HBO2 by people who are too wasted to change the channel. While I certainly haven’t seen the film (and God willing, never will), I do have some friendly advice for its three leads - Mandy Moore, Robin Williams, and John Krasinski.
Mandy Moore - I don’t really know who you are, but you weren’t terrible in Entourage and you’re easy to look at. Knock it off with the wholesome rom-coms, get naked in some artsy Sundance flick, win your Best Supporting Oscar, and go be a movie star. You know this is your destined path, so quit wasting everyone’s time and show us your boobs already (in the name of art, of course).
John Krasinski - Alright, Kras (can I call you Kras?), here’s the deal - we all love you. Your character on The Office is hilarious, charming and has single-handedly redefined what the average white American woman finds attractive in a man (finally, they’re realizing that funny is far more important that traditional attractiveness - thank you for this). So anyway, because we love you, we’re willing to forget this disaster of a movie ever happened.
We understand that you took it early in your career, before you were sure about what kind of phenomenon The Office would come. You were just glad to be offered a movie role, and that’s fine. But take it from David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and the guy who played Joey - we won’t be so forgiving in the future. You try to pull this “silly Robin Williams romantic comedy” crap again, you’ll be dead to us. Dwight Schrute is pretty funny, too, you know? And with Ryan the Intern taking over as boss, you ain’t the only game in town, pal. So bend over, take your swats from Will Ferrell’s paddle, and get initiated into the Frat Pack like a man. (Also, if you and Pam and are gonna do it, f*cking get it over with already, we’re getting sick of this Ross & Rachel bullsh*t.)
Robin Williams - I know you won’t listen, but I’m obligated to say this anyway: for the love of God, Robin, please stop. Please. Your wacky mad-cap hijinx ceased to be funny somewhere between the time you stopped doing coke and we realized that’s just the way you are and Mrs. Doubtfire, and they ceased being even remotely tolerable around Patch Adams. The few times you’ve allowed yourself to dispense with the zaniness (Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting), we’ve generally liked you, which is why I was disappointed to learn your next two films are Old Dogs (from the director of Wild Hogs, and co-starring John Travolta - yay!) and The Krazees (yes, with a “K”) about “a psychologist whose emotions come to life as different characters”. Played as a double feature, these movies could get a terrorist talking faster than a torture chamber at Gitmo. Awesome.

The Good- you get to enjoy John Krasinski's hotness for 90 minutes
The Bad- The movie isn't very funny and it has a lot of WTF moments.
The Ugly- Robin Williams is really ugly, I mean annoying.
Now that a few days have passed and I am out of my John Krasinski rose colored glasses, I can blog about what I thought of License to Wed. I'm not ashamed to say that I love cheesy romantic comedy's aka 'romcoms'. If Mandy Moore is in it and it's a chick flick count me in. I even liked Because I Said So! That is why I was so excited when I heard that my TV boyfriend was filming a romantic comedy with Mandy Moore. In this alternate universe where my guilty pleasures roam free could it possibly get any better? There always has to be a draw back though and they came in the form of Robin Williams and the script. Don't get me wrong, I laughed and had a really fun time watching the movie but it's not enough for me to urge you to see it. The sad thing for me was that I never really figured out whey Ben (JK's character) was so in love with Sadie(MM). I just couldn't buy their never dying love, I also didn't like how irrational she was towards him. I watch these movies so I can laugh and be really girlie about perfect couples that don't really exist, not to watch a grown woman nag at her boyfriend, I do that enough for both of us. I really do think Ben was a saint for sticking through as much garbage as he did. I couldn't help but be reminded of how much Jim loves Pam and how great they are together. Ben and Sadie wished they loved each other half as much as the star crossed lovers on John's TV show. (I didn't photoshop that but I wish I did, it's hilarious)
I have never liked Robin Williams or his style of comedy so I was nervous about him playing the unconventional pastor on LTW. To his credit he wasn't as over the top as he usually is but he wasn't funny either. His character was just so creepy and cringe inducing that I thanked my lucky stars that there was two other leads in the movie.
Onto the good? Most of the laughs came from John Krasinski's perfect comedic timing and the rest of The Office crew that made cameo appearances. Seriously, I was laughing so loud that I thought that any of the other 20 people in the theater were going to throw trash at me (yeah it was pretty empty) I also have a tendency to laugh really loud anyway so my laughter might not be a fair assessment to the comedy.
The scene stealer by far was Brian Baumgardner aka Kevin from The Office. Every scene that he was in was hilarious and perfect. There was also other short cameos from Mindy Kaling and Angela Kinsey; other than making me laugh these appearances really made me want to watch new episodes of The Office. There was also some really funny moments with the hideous robot babies that I'm sure everyone has seen in a promo or two. If you asked me whether you should spend ten bucks of your hard earned money to see LTW or wait for rental I would say- It depends. If you are a full fledged Hussy and want to see John Krasinski on a movie screen in all of his lanky glory, then pay 10 bucks and enjoy yourself. If you are selective about what movies you will shell out money for, then wait for rental. That was a little harsh but true. I don't think this will tarnish John's career or reputation at all. If anything this movie shows how funny he can be with the material that he is given. I also think it helps that his next movie coming out stars George Clooney and not Tom Green or any other has- been comedian. Let's face it no one stood a chance against the monster that is Transformers.
Here is a picture of John Krasinski and Angela Kinsey being cute and friendly at the License to Wed premiere in Los Angeles.
One of the best parts of the movie, the blooper reel ( a shortened version anyway)

Sometimes I feel like a 12 year old boy stuck in a 23 year old womans body. No joke. This feeling happens every so often when I geek out, or in the month of July. Yesterday I saw a little art house flick called TRANSFORMERS, have you heard of it? To sum up my experience of the movie in two words or less...IT ROCKED! Yeah I'm really eloquent. Seriously, the special effects were unbelievable and Shia Labeouf's character was really likable and funny. I swear that kid has really outdone himself; who would have known that the little awkward kid from Disney's Even Stevens would have turned out to be such a handsome leading man. His Co-star Megan Fox on the other hand is a horrible actress. I understand that she is smoking hot and kind of slutty looking (isn't that a requirement for an action movie babe?) but the director could have found an equally attractive woman to play the love interest of Shia. Am I right? I mean pretty girls are a dime a dozen in Hollywood but genuine talent is rare.Eh who cares, Shia would have stolen the scenes from her anyway*.
OK going back to feeling like a 12 year old, there was moments in the movie where I just wanted to raise my fists in the air and scream "yeeeeeeahhh Kick his butt" "This is sooooo AWESOME". I restrained myself out of respect for my boyfriend, but I'm telling you guys,I was THIS close. If you haven't seen it you really should. Watching this movie in the theaters is an experience in itself. I haven't had this much fun watching a movie in a really long time. I felt like my 10 bucks were well spent. I did however have to wait like 2 hours in a theater for the movie to start. We are hardcore like that(remind me never to go to the movies on the fourth of July).
Here is a picture of Shia the beef (Labeouf) and a very classy Megan Fox being nothing but friends at the MTV movie awards.
Do you guys remember David Silver aka Brian Austin-Green from 90210? Well Ms. Fox is engaged to him. Good luck to them, really.
* I swear I'm not being a hater towards MF because she is gorgeous, although I would kill to have a body like hers. She is just a really bad actress.

Don't get me wrong, I love Shia Labeouf; but let the Jew fro free!! Why does he insist on slicking his hair back like a sleazy pimp? He looks like he belongs in the Gotti family or like one of Tony Sopranos thug nephews. Either way, he is still the hottest thing to come out of Disney! Take that Britney! My friend Dee and I have both been looking forward to July 3rd because both of our boyfriends (Shia and John Krasinski) have movies opening that day. I get the feeling that her "boyfriend" is going to make more money at the box office. Just a hunch.
