Semi-Hiatus

So I haven't blogged in about a month and I'm predicting it's going to be really hard to keep up with all the things that I love (which includes blogging). It's sad but school is starting next week and I'm not only taking an insane amount of classes but I'm also working. Thank god for DVR because I'm going to have to catch up on the essentials during my sleep time or something?! I wonder which shows will have to be cut out of my lineup? I guess the truth will come out as to what my favorites are! I'll blog here and there when ever I watch something cool or find out some news that I think you all will be interested in. Here are some cool sites to visit if you want to get your online TV fix.

Comic-Con Lost Panel 07

Hey guys! I'm really rushed and tired as hell so I will post a quick recap what went down on the Lost panel yesterday at the San Diego Comic-Con. Before I go on I just want to express how hardcore the fans were yesterday. The line was out of control! We must have waited for a good four hours in line to get into this panel. Anyway, as most of you must know by now, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse announced at the TCAs a couple of days ago that Harold Perrineau aka Michael would be back on the show as a permanent fixture. I guess they were a little bumed that they couldn't announce this to the fans first so we got the next best thing...Harold Perrineau himself! A girl was asking a question about Michael and if he was only going to come back in flashbacks (or forwards) and all of a sudden Harold Perrineau came strolling in. It was a really pleasant surprise, the crowd went wild. Obviously the producers/writers can't say too much without ruining the mythology of the show so they brought bells and rang them when questions went a little too far (it was really funny). They did touch on a couple of important things.

* We will be seeing a combination of flash backs and flash forwards

* The scene we saw with Kate and Jack off the island in the season finale is not the end of the series. We will be seeing MORE into the future than that!

* They will conclude Libby's story before the end of the series

* We will be finding out more about the never aging man aka Richard Alpert but we will have to wait because Nestor Carbonell is working on other projects

* We will also get a Danielle Rousseau flashback and back story before the end of the series

* They will be done writing the first 14 out of 16 episodes when the first episode of season four airs.

*There will be no breaks during the Lost season, they will air all 16 episodes consecutively.

* When asked if Jack and Claire were ever going to find out that they are brother and sister they rang the little bell (indicating that the question couldn't be answered) but Lindelof shook his head yes

I can't begin to express how nice and appreciative Cuse and Lindelof were to the fans. I'm really anxious for the new season.

More Office News-Kind Of Spoilerish...

First and foremost, I love John Krasinski's old man look...so sexy. I also can't believe that we get a whole month of hour long office episodes in September! ( By The Way, I spy a very yummy bearded Jason Lee on that panel!)

MeeVee and The Office LJ community have a bunch of info about the NBC comedy press conference held today. Here is a quote from the MeeVee Article:
(John Krasinski)

"I think they've proven time and time again that if you go against the grain, you might succeed. Case in point was on 'Booze Cruise,' all that buildup to me finally being able to tell her I love her, and then just 27 seconds of silence. I mean, that was genius," Krasinski said.
Take a moment to click on the link above, It's an interesting read.

Some tidbits from a bunch of different places!

From MeeVee.com:
-Daniels is complaining about spoilers online and Krasinski says, "My bad! Needed a little extra cash! Dishing the secrets!"

-Krasinski on how a network-wide NBC "Green Week" on enviro themes will affect Dunder-Mifflin: "We're a paper company, so we're screwed."

-From Ausiello:
Office e.p. Greg Daniels believes the Jim-Pam love story "has more impact when it's not carrying the weight of the entire show." He also hints that he's not a huge fan of NBC's shmaltzy (and ridiculously misleading) Jim-Pam promos.

-From John Krasinski: Jenna Fischer has fully recovered from that nasty spill she took during upfront week.

-From TvSquad:
Are doing DVD extras a pleasure or a pain? "We over produce so much, we've got [lots of extras for DVDs]," says Daniels.

-From Ausiello
:
Just scored some post-sesion scoop from John Krasinski: He confirmed that Rashida Jones would be back for a handful of episodes at the start of the season.

From Watch with Kristin:

-Rashida Jones, aka Karen Filipelli, will be back this fall. Greg Daniels and company were able to work out a deal where she’ll show up for at least an episode or two when The Office returns this fall.

-Jenna is doing fine, though still recovering from her May injury, and will most definitely be sitting behind the reception desk at Dunder-Mifflin come September, but the producers may have to go easy on her the first few episodes. Says Daniels, “Luckily Pam sits a lot on the show.”

-We’ve seen the last of David Denman, aka Roy, for the time being, since he’s been fired and is no longer dating Pam. However, he’s not dead and, according to Greg, could return at any time.

-We will see more of Ryan this season! There will be great stuff between Michael and Ryan, now that Ryan’s the boss. But sadly for Kelly, things between her and Ryan are not going well.

-Jan really is moving into Michael’s condo, and when I asked if she’ll be wearing stretch pants, Greg Daniels was kind enough to confirm.

-The hourlong episodes (announced earlier this year) will be the first four of the season, probably because Scrubs won’t be on yet.

-The season-three DVD drops Sept. 4, and Daniels says they overproduce so much, there will be about five or six hours of extras on it.

Build Your Own Simpson

This was my attempt to build myself and my boyfriend....

To build your own go to The Simpson's official website.

Podcasts

Entertainment wise there is nothing I love more than TV. A close runner up to winning my heart are Podcasts. I used to commute ALOT, I did something like 40,000 miles in a year and a half. As much as I love listening to music, I wanted something that I could listen to on the road without worrying about static, keep me awake, and entertain me (much like TV) for hours on end. After much trial and error I found some podcasts that fit that very description. There are literally hundreds of podcasts on ITUNES but the ones I listen to the most are as follows:

GEEKS ON

It only took about five minutes to fall in love with the guys from GeeksOn. Their enthusiasm for all things geeky is endearing and infectious. They basically discuss TV, video games, movies, comics, rpg, internet, board games.... Even if the topic of the week was not something that I was particularly interested in, I would find myself listening and enjoying every minute of it. They are all really intelligent and aren't afraid of a good debate.

This American Life

I have to admit that I only started listening to this podcast out of curiosity; it was always number one on the Itunes podcast and I had to check out what the fuss was about. I sat here literally trying to figure out a way to describe American Life in a short and sweet sentence. I couldn't, I guess I'm not the only one with that problem though. This is from their website-One of our problems from the start has been that when we try to describe This American Life in a sentence or two, it just sounds awful. For instance: each week we choose a theme and put together different kinds of stories on that theme. That doesn't sound like something we'd want to listen to on the radio, and it's our show. If you haven't listened to the show, take a leap of faith. I guarantee the show will tap into every single emotion you have.

TV GUIDE PODCAST

I think the title of the podcast is pretty self explanatory. This is the perfect podcast for any TV addict. The sad thing is, I haven't listened to it since Dan left. His wit and cynicism was the best part of the podcast, listening to these guys was like reading a really snarky and funny blog. I don't know if they have that anymore. I think I have to give them another shot.

The Office Alliance Podcast

I have listened to many fan run podcasts (Smallville,Veronica Mars, Lost) but to tell you the truth I couldn't stand any of them. I really think that either you have the personality to be on the radio or you don't, it doesn't mean you have to be wacky or funny, just interesting to listen to. This is the first fan podcast that I can stand. These fangirls really know their stuff and dissect every aspect of the show until there is nothing to pick at but bones. Yeah, my kind of fangirls.

Heroes Casting

David Anders (Alias) is just one of six new actors cast in the next season of Heroes. And yes, I really loved him on Alias. I'm really glad he got cast.

Anders will play the most intriguing part, that of the ancient samurai warrior Takezo Kensei, Hiro Nakamura's (Masi Oka) childhood hero.

Others cast:
Pop star, Eriko Tamura will play a princess.

Barry Shabaka Henley will play Detective Fuller, a New York police officer.

Holt McCallany
will play Ricky, the ringleader of a group of Irish thugs.

Lyndsy Fonseca (HBO's Big Love)will play a cheerleader from Sourthern California.

Dianna Agron (Veronica Mars) will also play a cheerleader.

Battlestar Galactica TV Movie :Razor

Oh hell yeah! This preview makes me that much more excited about the SD Comic-Con panel that is in a couple weeks. Here is a preview to Razor the Battlestar Galactica TV movie.

Plot summery from Wikipedia
:
According to IGN, "the movie will indeed focus on an untold story about the Battlestar Pegasus, and feature Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) ... While this story with Cain occurs before she and the Pegasus crew joined up with Galactica, the entire cast of the regular series will appear in the movie, as the Pegasus portion is portrayed via flashbacks"[2].

Ronald D. Moore has stated, "The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4."[3] He added, "One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that."[4] Moore has also said, "We'll try to reassemble most of the Pegasus cast."[5]

Because I Miss The Office And Love YouTube

Last night I was on one of my many forums and a conversation came up about John Krasinski's many faces. Anyway, this prompted me to go on youtube and search for a compilation video. Pretty exciting stuff for a John K fan.

Moving on. Here are the top ten Jim and Pam moments as seen by the creator. ( I think I would rearrange some but it's still great)

Finally, the top ten Jim and Dwight moments! (I'm sorry the one where Dwight crashes his car is torture for me to watch because I laugh hard every time)

Bear Drinks Urine

Yeah, I don't know what to say. Man Vs. Wild doesn't play around.

Clark And Michael

If you guys haven't watched Michael Cera's new show, you are totally missing out. Don't worry though it's not in the traditional TV format and it's readily accessible. Michael Cera along with his best friend Clark Duke star in CBS's original web series in which they also write and produce. It's basically about two friends trying to make in in Hollywood. It's really funny and they update new episodes every Wednesday. When I first heard about this show I was really excited because I love Michael Cera and his character on Arrested Development. The thing about loving a TV character so much is that the actor associated with that character has a lot of pressure on them to a) help create an equally loving character or b) disassociate themselves so they wont be type cast. Thank goodness that this show didn't disappoint. Maybe it's the love I have for the mockumentry format or the awkward random jokes? Either way, check it out. Each episodes is a little under 10 minutes, and crazy funny. Is none of this convince you check out the picture below. Enough said.CLARK AND MICHAEL WEBSITE.

From the Herald Tribune:

"We were just trying to make each other laugh," Duke said. "And sometimes it does feel like it's just a big in-joke between us." A 10-minute pilot version was shot for Duke's college thesis and eventually found its way to Matt Kaplan, the online content supervisor at CBS Interactive. "Clark and Michael," with its low-tech aesthetic, mockumentary feel and potential to attract Cera's college-aged fan base, immediately appealed to him. Still, the network intentionally kept the "microseries" off its Innertube Web site because it thought placing the show at another location would better appeal to the show's younger demographic.

So without commercial sponsors and focus groups, "Clark and Michael" unfolds in weekly bursts of 7 to 10 minutes long, filled with the awkward silences that Cera likes so much and plenty of absurdist low-key mockery of life on the show-business fringe, including one scene in which Cera, after having a script rejected, cries in a bathtub and refers to a well-known screenwriting guide.

"We didn't originally think of this as being for the Internet," Cera said. "We were thinking more like it being something on Adult Swim," on Cartoon Network. "But it turned out exactly how we wanted it to be."

Besides "Superbad" and "Year One" he will also appear in "Juno," an independent film comedy directed by Jason Reitman and scheduled for release this fall. Although he doubts there will be any more "Clark and Michael" episodes, he's not ruling them out, mostly because he's not sure what he's going to do next.

"I'm very afraid to make decisions," he said, "because I want the people who liked 'Arrested Development' to like whatever I do next. I don't want to let them down. I think too much about every decision I make." And then there's a too-long silence. Kind of uncomfortable. Cera was probably pleased.

Shia Is Getting Followed

Now that Shia LaBeouf is a full fledged movie star, he is getting followed a lot more now. I wonder how long it will be before he goes ape-shit. I heard he has a temper.

1-18-08 Better Quality Trailer

It looks like all the bootleg copies of the trailer for "Cloverfield" or "Untitled 1-18-08" have been taken down, including the one I linked on this blog. Paramount has however put up a better quality trailer up on Apple Trailers. The Bad Robot logo at the beginning of the trailer gets me really excited because it reminds me of LOST. This better not turn out to be a piece of shit movie. The noise though does resemble the monster from lost...and the font for 1-18-08 looks like the font for the numbers.
