Battlestar Galactica TV Movie :Razor

Oh hell yeah! This preview makes me that much more excited about the SD Comic-Con panel that is in a couple weeks. Here is a preview to Razor the Battlestar Galactica TV movie.

Plot summery from Wikipedia
:
According to IGN, "the movie will indeed focus on an untold story about the Battlestar Pegasus, and feature Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) ... While this story with Cain occurs before she and the Pegasus crew joined up with Galactica, the entire cast of the regular series will appear in the movie, as the Pegasus portion is portrayed via flashbacks"[2].

Ronald D. Moore has stated, "The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4."[3] He added, "One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that."[4] Moore has also said, "We'll try to reassemble most of the Pegasus cast."[5]

I love it when fandoms collide!

Battlestar Galactica Minimates

I wish I had disposable income to buy toys! These aren't new but I saw them on the back of last months SCI-FI magazine and I fell in love. Aren't they cute? They are 7 bucks a pair and so adorable. For more info click HERE

Stop playing games with my heart

Will they? Wont they? Tell me so I can A)move on B)Wallow in my misery until I find out.

Maybe this WONT be the end for Battlestar.
May 14, 2007 - Last week, Edward James Olmos was quoted as saying the coming fourth season of Battlestar Galactica was definitely the last one. Now one of Battlestar's executive producers, David Eick, is saying that might not necessarily be the case.

On the SCI FI Channel's website, scifi.com, Eick is quoted as saying, "For those of you who have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show's end. I promise you that when [executive producer] Ron [Moore] and I make a decision about Galactica's future, we'll let you know."

Besides Olmos's more firm comments, Battlestar actress Katee Sackhoff also said the acclaimed show "might not go anymore" in an interview with iesb.com. And in an interview IGN conducted with Jamie Bamber earlier this year, he also speculated season 4 would likely be the last. At this point it seems that there is a good chance season 4 will be the end for the series, but it's not a certainty, and Eick doesn't want to make an official announcement until they are absolutely sure.

I'm so sad

This is a totally WTF moment for me. I did NOT see this coming. There is no official word that BSG has been cancelled but Edward James Olmos pretty much confirmed it in an interview with IF Magazine. This whole time I have been worried about Friday Night Lights and Veronica Mars being cancelled when I should have been preparing myself for the loss of one of my favorite shows ever. I thought Galactica was a sure thing. To read the whole interview go HERE

Battlestar Galactica CANCELLED.

iF MAGAZINE: What’s coming up for season four?

EDWARD JAMES OLMOS: It’s fantastic. I think they’re going to discover some very important issues about what the fan base really, really wants to see and what’s to understand about this show. We’re heading into the final season. This is the final season as we speak. All of us are very saddened by that, but we always knew there was going to be a conclusion and we would find Earth, so we will be finding Earth this season. I wish it would [keep going]. I could do 10 years like this season. I think that this is some of finest usages of television that I have been a part of in my life. Bar none. I’ve been doing this for 42 years. I’ve done some really good work in television and motion pictures but there really is nothing like this show. I can honestly tell you that this is one of the finest dramatic pieces work on humanity I’ve ever seen in my life.

An Interview with a scifi genius

Ron Moore gives an exclusive interview to Kristin Veitch from E! regarding last nights season finale of Battlestar Galactica.

From E Online:
Does Kara Thrace's special destiny have anything to do with the identity of her father?
Of her father? No.

What does it mean for fans of the show that Katee and Tricia are both shooting pilots?
They are shooting pilots, but they're not going to be regulars on those shows, so it's nothing to worry about.

Another fan Q, from Terai80: "If and when they reach Earth, which Starbuck says she has done, would we see the survivors of the colonies interacting with the earthlings?"
I think it really depends when in our history they arrive, but that's one of the questions we're holding off on for now.

Do you personally believe that the prophecies are true in this universe, and if so, is Laura Roslin necessarily the dying leader?
She's not necessarily the dying leader, but she's probably the dying leader. That'll be one of the issues that'll get wrestled over in the fourth season, and the prophecies, as we've seen, have a great deal of relevance to the people of Galactica. But at the same time, that doesn't mean every single one will come true or every single one is relevant to their story.

Here's a big one that I'm personally quite invested in. Kmags wants to know: "Will Roslin and Adama ever get together?" And I think she means in the traditional, make-out, slobber-all-over-each-other sense.
[Laughs.] I don't know if we'll ever get to that point. We're moving that relationship forward into the fourth season, [but] whether it actually gets to actually swapping saliva, I’m not sure.

Another reader, David Fouse, asks: "Is Hera the first human-Cylon hybrid, or were there maybe other ones before her?"
Uh...I don't think I'll answer that one.

From Menamarie: "Are the Cylons all working to a larger goal, or are there different factions with their own agendas?"
I think we've started to suggest that some might have their own agendas. D'Anna certainly had her own agenda, and it ended up getting her boxed. I think there are divisions within the Cylon nation itself, and I think those divisions and fissures will only grow as the fourth season goes on.

Do those factions have leaders? Cavil seemed to be a little bit more knowing...
I think certain leadership will start to develop on both sides of the divide.

And what can you tell people to tide them over in the long, lonely months between this finale and the beginning of next season?
Well, they'll certainly have enough to chew on. I expect there will be a whole range of reactions to this finale. I suspect they'll either love it or hate it. The reaction when people see the finale should certainly carry us along for a while, and then I'll just try to make a concerted effort to blog more and go on message boards a bit more and keep contact with the fans and give stuff for them to chew on.

What can you tell us about the "special two-hour extended event that will air during fourth quarter 2007 and be released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Entertainment thereafter"?
You're not by chance reading from a press release, are you? We think of it essentially as two extra episodes, and it will not pick up directly from the huge cliffhanger we have at the end of season three with the revelations of Cylons and Starbuck. The extended episodes will essentially go back and tell a story about the Pegasus. We'll deal with events in the past that we've never shown before, but those two eps will also set up some things that will pay off in the fourth season.

Kbroxmysox asks: "Do you watch Veronica Mars or The Office, and how do you feel when they name-check your show?"
I don't watch Veronica Mars, even though I know I should because everyone talks about it. And I do watch The Office. I love it when they do the shout-outs! I'm usually directed to them when they happen, and I'll find them on YouTube or someone will send me a clip, and they're very, very cool.

(Quick, someone send this man some frakkin' Veronica Mars DVDs! Plus, check back later for the chat, where we'll have even more from Moore! Yes, it's an embarrassment of BSG riches...Can you stand it?)

Ive been to earth I’m going to take us there in 2008

Hardcore Spoilers Peeps!

Wow! We finally know who the final five (or is it four) are. I can’t say I was surprised but that doesn't change the fact that I was shocked when the reveal came. I predicted Starbuck would be back and I’m glad Apollo (Lee) was the one to see her in her viper. I'm not sure if Starbuck is part of the final five or what the hell was up with her coming back for the last 5 seconds of the show? I seriously just finished watching the show and I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. The moment the four people on the ship started hearing the music all I could think was “Hes a totally a cylon, OMG she's a cylon” that is kind of how the rest of the episode went for me. The best part about the final five I think is the fact that Colonel Tigh is in fact a cylon! I love that because he basically is everything that he detested so much. I don’t know how I will be able to go until 08' without new episodes. I really hope SciFi releases webisodes like they have done in the past. I really need more time to gain some perspective on the cylon issue so I will let it marinade in my head for a while. Onto the next plot line.

Baltar not being guilty was another conclusion that seemed rather obvious from the get go. I really didn’t think they would throw him out of the airlock because he is one of the strongest characters BSG has. Lee Adama's speech was basically what set Baltar free. His speech was so extremely powerful that my mouth was open the whole time, I actually think I swallowed a fly (jk). He had some serious big balls for going against his father and basically his people. I do think he was right to point out the hypocrisy in the prosecutions case. My favorite part of the speech was when he said “we are a system built on shame, its easier to dump it out on one man so we can live with ourselves”. Bravo Lee Adama, Bravo! It also didn’t hurt that Lil’ Adama looked like a total babe in his lawyer garb which made the courtroom scene that much better. I do wonder however what Baltars fate will be now that he is homeless and the most hated man alive. Will he be on the run with those Baltar groupies?

On another note. On a show where civilization is on the brink of extinction and space ships and evolved robots are center stage the most unrealistic part of Battlestar is the fact that The hotness that is President Roslin has crater face Adama fever! Ew! OK that was really mean but the only rationale I have for that is there cant be too many suitable bachelors for her considering that the human race is THIS close to being extinct. Alright that whole rant was totally beside the point and not important but its late and I’m trying hard to get all my thoughts together so I’m sure I will post a follow up to this entry because I need some clarity.

Is this premature?

Are they trying to give me a heart attack?!

"The creators of Sci Fi Channel's acclaimed space opera are considering ending it after its fourth season, according to studio sources".

Isn't it too soon? I really don't feel like Battlestar has or will deal with all of the possible great story lines they can come up with in the following year. I understand that shows like LOST have an end date planned out. Lost is the kind of show that has too many unanswered questions that if answered would ultimately mean the end of the series. I really hope that the people behind Battlestar are leaking crap like this out in hopes that their fans will start sweating bullets and campaign on behalf of the show to get higher ratings. SCIFI gods if you can hear me please don't take my BSG away so soon!

Does this mean double duty for SIX?

Will SIX be on two shows or will she be leaving Battlestar if the pilot gets picked up?

From TVguide

TVGuide.com has learned exclusively that Tricia Helfer has joined the cast of FOX's pilot "Them", about sleeper cells of extraterrestrial terrorists. The Fox pilot is ironically being shepherded by her Battlestar Galactica boss, David Eick, and Helfer joins previously announced cast members James D'Arcy, Rachel Nichols, Ben Feldman and Reg Rogers. Before you start speculating on what this means for BSG's Six, TVGuide.com reports that if Them gets picked up in May, it's entirely possible that Helfer — who will go dark (meaning brunette) for this new gig, which she starts shooting Monday — could do double duty, seeing as Eick is boss at both shows. Helfer on two TV series? That I'm not sure the human race could handle.

When did he find the time to become a lawyer?

BEWARE Peeps SPOILERS ahead.

WTF? Is Lil' Adama aka Capt. Apollo trying to rebel against his father at like what 30 years old? Leave that for the teenagers Lee. Also where did Lee get that suit? Do they just have Prada stashed away just in case they are going to have a trial or do they have suit makers on board? Its not like they are a race of humans fighting for their existence or anything? I really think that Lee is a frakking douche bag for giving President Roslin the 3rd degree. What are his credentials as a lawyer? Just because someone in his family was a lawyer doesn't make him qualified, in that case I'm a lawyer too!
The funniest line of the night had nothing to do with Apollo. It was actually recited by his papa "your my oldest friend Saul you would never embarrass me" HA HA what a joke. That man(Saul) embarrasses me just by standing there with his eye patch! Saul was out of control. Great episode!! I can't wait for the season finale next week. It looks sooo good! Who are the final five? Will we see Starbuck again?

It Breaks My FRAKing Heart: Battlestar Galactica

Wow. After last weeks explosive (literally) episode I wondered how everyone on the Battlestar would deal with Starbuck going Kabooooom. I don't believe she is gone for good, yeah yeah yeah I'm on the side that really believes she is part of the final five. She HAS to be ...right? Anyway Adama totally broke my heart in the opening scene.

Who would have thought that a man with a mug like that would make me want to cry and not because he is so scary. Doesn't he kind of look like an ex chicano gangsta who finally decided to get his life together and get out of Echo Park? This Show is seriously so Fraking dark and thought provoking. I love it. With that said I'm not going to go into my various theories about the show but I will post a picture of the lighter side of Battlestar. I first saw this picture in SCIFI magazine and went looking for a larger version online.
