Battlestar Galactica TV Movie :Razor

Oh hell yeah! This preview makes me that much more excited about the SD Comic-Con panel that is in a couple weeks. Here is a preview to Razor the Battlestar Galactica TV movie.

Plot summery from Wikipedia
:
According to IGN, "the movie will indeed focus on an untold story about the Battlestar Pegasus, and feature Admiral Cain (Michelle Forbes) ... While this story with Cain occurs before she and the Pegasus crew joined up with Galactica, the entire cast of the regular series will appear in the movie, as the Pegasus portion is portrayed via flashbacks"[2].

Ronald D. Moore has stated, "The story will be set on the Battleship Pegasus and will take place in the past, relative to where we are in Season 3. But the events set up in that story will then pay off in Season 4."[3] He added, "One of the story lines everyone had really liked was the Pegasus story and the character of Admiral Cain, so we decided to go with that."[4] Moore has also said, "We'll try to reassemble most of the Pegasus cast."[5]

Kristen Bell On The Big Screen In FANBOYS

Cult favorite Kristen Bell wont let her TV show cancellation get her down...thank God. She is making a leap to the big screen as one of the leads in a new movie called FANBOYS. I'm actually excited about this. I'm not sure what her role is but I'm assuming she is playing a "fangirl". Rarely do we get to see females in the roles of fangirls (unless it's about cute boys) because generally speaking I think It's men who get submersed in the geek culture. I'm not sure why that is but the girl/boy geek ratio is really off. I really hope I'm not wrong because if she is playing the annoyed girlfriend I will be disappointed. Kristen Bell has done a great job of picking strong female characters (Veronica Mars), so here is to hoping she portrays us [geek girls] accurately. It also stars Jay Baruchel who I thought was really funny in UNDECLARED.

Plot Summary: In this riotous new road movie from producer Kevin Spacey, a group of friends who are avid Star Wars fans travel west to see the Holly Grail of all sci-fi movies, "Star Wars: Episode I." The year is 1999 and for these death star dorks, the Star Wars films are more than just movies; they are a way of life. So, after one of the group takes sick it is nothing short of a moral imperative that the friends break into George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch to watch the seminal sci-fi picture together before its release. Enlisting the help of an estranged friend, who has traded in his Darth Vader mask for a proper day job, the adventure lays way to some extremely funny situations, including an outrageous brawl with some hard-core Trekkies.

J.J Abrams' Likes To Play With Our Heads

J.J. Abrams' is seriously going to be the death of me. Not only did he create the most mind boggling show in TV history but now he likes to mess with us while we are at the theater. It's not enough for him confuse us in our homes but now he does it while we are waiting for [insert movie] to play. I recently saw Transformers as most of you know and they played a preview for something that seriously left me saying "what the frak"??!! You can watch a really crappy bootleg version of the trailer below.

In a similar fashion to the LOST fandom, fans of Abrams are flocking to the internet trying to put the pieces together. Yeah, I got suckered into this mess too. As you can see, I couldn't save the pictures from the official website (1-18-08) so I used the ever handy print screen button on my computer. Why even have a website if you can't click on anything! What could this movie be about? Godzilla? War? The monster from Lost?

My love for Daniel Manu...

Who the frak is Daniel Manu you ask? Is he some hunky new upincomer that was featured in peoples sexiest whatever? Is he a funny new addition to The Office crew? Did he get some hot TV star pregnant?
Actually no to all of the above. He is the new director of two of my favorite websites Brilliantbutcancelled.com and Televisionwithoutpity.com, check them out! He also used to be the Editorial Director for TVGUIDE.com and my weekly savior in the war that is the Monday morning commute. What the hell am I talking about you ask? I don't even know myself! All I know is that I miss him very much. You see, I used to listen to The TVGUIDE Podcast ( HERE ) like it was nobodies business. Dan used to open and close each podcast and somewhat moderate what went on during discussion. He had this sort of self deprecating humor that I love in people. After listening to the podcast all year long, I looked forward to hearing his opinions about all of my favorite TV shows, not to mention listen to him say very inappropriate things. It was on my trip to Yosemite in the middle of freaking no where that I got the bomb shell news that he was no longer going to be part of the podcast. I literally screamed as my boyfriend looked at me in sheer horror! Ever since he left the podcast I haven't listened to a single episode. I don't know if I can. Dan is seriously the BEST shit talker ever. If you are going to talk shit you have to be quick on your feet and witty, otherwise you just sound like a fucking asshole. He mastered the fine art of shit talking only like a few can. Not to mention he is the biggest comic book, TV, and pop culture geek (by his own admission). The rest of the trip home I introduced my boyfriend to my love for Dan and we proceeded to listen to the podcast for what must have been four hours.

If you guys are as bored as I am or looking for something TV related to listen to go to Itunes or TVGUIDE and check out what I am talking about. If you don't want to instantly become his BFF or geeky girlfriend then you can come back and talk shit. Just a reminder he left on episode 101 so anything after that is sans Dan.

The temp got the job and I got my Jam fix

I'm going to start off this entry with the scene from last nights OFFICE finale that I along with many other people had been waiting for.
The Jim/Pam storyline came full circle and I couldn't be happier. I was convinced that nothing was going to happen on that front and thank god I was wrong. It's very late and I should be in bed but I think I'm going to blog and watch CSI instead. So do you guys think that Jim left Karen stranded in NY? The evil girl in me really hopes so but I doubt it maybe he called her on the phone and was like "we are dunzo I'm asking Pam out"! Probably not but what we do know is that he didn't drive back to Scranton with Karen in the car. If he didn't break up with her I'm sure she will have to break up with him because he rushed home just to ask Pam out on a *date*. I was also glad that we saw a flashback to Jim's response to Pam's speech in the Beach Games Episode. Totally sweet. Can I also comment on how CUTE Jim looked with his new non homeless man haircut! For you haters (yes you know who you are) I am still sticking to my guns that JIM/JOHN is one cute mother-fer! I know this isn't the Jim and Pam show but I really can't help myself. I really loved Pam's look when Jim asked her out. The Office is very unconventional in the way they tell a story so I really hope that for once in TV history the writers don't feel like they have to break up a couple to keep people watching, after all people do watch for the comedy and not the angst (we have Grey's for that). Did I say Comedy? Bring it on bitches. Ryan is now the big boss!!!! I can't wait until the office finds out! This plot changer is going to guarantee some amazing laughs. My favorite Comedy scene was when Dwight and Angela were talking in the break room about consolidating power. Man oh man. I'm sure I will post more thoughts, videos and pictures from the season finale as the days go by because with the TV season finally wrapping up I have to find interesting ways to get my fix. Viva la JAM.
P.S
For those who haven't watched the UK version here is a clip that holds many similarities to the Jim/Pam ending for this episode. Viva The Office.

Veronica Is Dead.....

Today is a sad day. Veronica Mars has been officially cancelled. Today at the CW upfronts Dawn Ostroff the head honcho of CW announced that Veronica is officially dead. According to TV guru Ausiello she says she's "talking to Rob and Kristen" about doing something else. She's not calling it a spin-off, and wouldn't say whether it would feature the character of Veronica. Say what??? Whatever they plan on doing the truth of the matter is Veronica is gone and all the characters I loved are gone as well. VM was such an amazing show because it was fun and had one of the best female leads on TV not to mention they had tons of pop culture references that I could relate to (bsg anyone). Either way I hope the season (now series) finale next week does the show justice. Too bad people didn't give the show a chance I will never forgive The Pussy Cat Dolls for making VM look worse by beating them in the ratings.

I want a side of Jam please! haha I feel 13..

I feel like a 13 year old girl who draws hearts over her I's (who am I kidding I still do that shit)! I am so excited for tonight's season finale of THE OFFICE! This season has been FULL of angst for the Jim/Pam relationship. Honestly they are my favorite TV non couple but I would rather see them as friends and pulling pranks on Dwight than crying and acting all sad and crap. Of course I wouldn't object to Jim breaking up with that tramp of a girlfriend he has going and hooking up with fancy new Beesly but alas I don't think that will happen. Alright so who on earth is going to get the job in NY? Jim,Karen or Michael? My guess is Karen but that kind of seems to obvious right? The thing that bugs me about that scenario (it's about the only thing because I want them to get rid of her) is that she doesn't seem to have much experience and everyone else vying for the job seems to outrank her. Either way it seems like in all the interviews I have watched and read about the season finale someone is getting the job in NY and JAM fans shouldn't be expecting anything because unlike last year this year the finale is all about Jan and Michael. Whatever, I'm excited either way and it should be a fun hour of TV watching. Don't forget the show starts early 8oclock and it's an hour long! Woooohooooo. Do you think Dwangela will be outed? Will Kelly end up pregnant? Will Kevin get married to that lady that doesn't really like him? Thank god this finale is a lot less stressful than the LOST one because let me tell you I will probably not be able to sleep after I watch next weeks LOST.

To keep with the 13 year old theme I have going I'm posting this insanely funny teeny bopper video someone posted at an OFFICE community. *Warning* It features the most annoying song on the radio right now and my 10 year old niece LOVES IT. Enjoy

I heart Pizonica!

After last night's episode of Veronica Mars I totally became a cull fledged convert to the Piz/Veronica love shipper! Yeah I know I'm totally pathetic but I can't help it I think they are so cute together. Girlyness aside I think she will be stupid and take him for granted because It seems like the nice guy never wins. Why is it that Girls in general always go for the bad boy? Thank god I have learned better because trust me It always ends in heart break. I'm very excited for the TWO HOUR season( maybe series:( finale). Here are some descriptions and video for the finale. They are Spoilerish so beware:)
Official CW Description:
VERONICA'S SEX TAPE MAKES IT TO THE INTERNET - Weevil (Francis Capra) is arrested for selling fake debit cards to Hearst students, but claims he is being framed because of his criminal background, and asks Veronica (Kristen Bell) to clear his name. On Piz's (Chris Lowell) radio show, Keith (Enrico Colantoni) debates Vinnie (guest star Ken Marino, "Reno 911") about the upcoming election, while a tipsy Dick (Ryan Hansen) apologizes to Mac (Tina Majorino) for the way he has treated her in the past. Veronica and Piz make up after their argument about spending their summer apart, and a mysterious sex tape of the two finds its way to the Internet. Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs and Julie Gonzalo also star. Jason Bloom directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer (#3T5819).
Official CW Description:
VERONICA DISCOVERS THE ORIGIN OF HER SEX TAPE - Furious that Logan (Jason Dohring) attacked Piz (Chris Lowell), Veronica (Kristen Bell) tells Logan she wants nothing to do with him. Parker (Julie Gonzalo) confronts Logan about still having feelings for Veronica, while Piz assures Veronica that he had nothing to do with the sex video. Veronica, with Weevil's (Francis Capra) help, investigates how the tape originated and discovers a person from her past is linked to The Castle and pays them a visit. With the re-election campaign nearing, Keith (Enrico Colantoni) steps in to protect Veronica. Percy Daggs, Ryan Hansen and Tina Majorino also star. Michael Fields directed the episode written by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero (#3T5820).

PIZONICA!

I just finished watching Veronica Mars and all I can say is DAMN RIGHT MOTHERFRICKERS! I won't give recaps because there are plenty of sites that do that your here for the commentary and to hear me geek out right? I'm so glad the Logan/Veronica romance got axed because Logan is a pathetic motherfer. I also have always rooted for Piz because let's face it I love the underdog and boys who seem shy and awkward. Don't get too attached though peeps because we all know VM is in trouble and might not get picked up next season and "Piz" just signed up for Private Practice(Grey's spinoff). However long it lasts is good for me. On another note how great was VM tonight? I really hope that the ratings go up because lord knows it pissed me off that the Skank hoe dolls got better ratings than Veronica Mars in that time slot. People are idiots.

An Interview with a scifi genius

Ron Moore gives an exclusive interview to Kristin Veitch from E! regarding last nights season finale of Battlestar Galactica.

From E Online:
Does Kara Thrace's special destiny have anything to do with the identity of her father?
Of her father? No.

What does it mean for fans of the show that Katee and Tricia are both shooting pilots?
They are shooting pilots, but they're not going to be regulars on those shows, so it's nothing to worry about.

Another fan Q, from Terai80: "If and when they reach Earth, which Starbuck says she has done, would we see the survivors of the colonies interacting with the earthlings?"
I think it really depends when in our history they arrive, but that's one of the questions we're holding off on for now.

Do you personally believe that the prophecies are true in this universe, and if so, is Laura Roslin necessarily the dying leader?
She's not necessarily the dying leader, but she's probably the dying leader. That'll be one of the issues that'll get wrestled over in the fourth season, and the prophecies, as we've seen, have a great deal of relevance to the people of Galactica. But at the same time, that doesn't mean every single one will come true or every single one is relevant to their story.

Here's a big one that I'm personally quite invested in. Kmags wants to know: "Will Roslin and Adama ever get together?" And I think she means in the traditional, make-out, slobber-all-over-each-other sense.
[Laughs.] I don't know if we'll ever get to that point. We're moving that relationship forward into the fourth season, [but] whether it actually gets to actually swapping saliva, I’m not sure.

Another reader, David Fouse, asks: "Is Hera the first human-Cylon hybrid, or were there maybe other ones before her?"
Uh...I don't think I'll answer that one.

From Menamarie: "Are the Cylons all working to a larger goal, or are there different factions with their own agendas?"
I think we've started to suggest that some might have their own agendas. D'Anna certainly had her own agenda, and it ended up getting her boxed. I think there are divisions within the Cylon nation itself, and I think those divisions and fissures will only grow as the fourth season goes on.

Do those factions have leaders? Cavil seemed to be a little bit more knowing...
I think certain leadership will start to develop on both sides of the divide.

And what can you tell people to tide them over in the long, lonely months between this finale and the beginning of next season?
Well, they'll certainly have enough to chew on. I expect there will be a whole range of reactions to this finale. I suspect they'll either love it or hate it. The reaction when people see the finale should certainly carry us along for a while, and then I'll just try to make a concerted effort to blog more and go on message boards a bit more and keep contact with the fans and give stuff for them to chew on.

What can you tell us about the "special two-hour extended event that will air during fourth quarter 2007 and be released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Entertainment thereafter"?
You're not by chance reading from a press release, are you? We think of it essentially as two extra episodes, and it will not pick up directly from the huge cliffhanger we have at the end of season three with the revelations of Cylons and Starbuck. The extended episodes will essentially go back and tell a story about the Pegasus. We'll deal with events in the past that we've never shown before, but those two eps will also set up some things that will pay off in the fourth season.

Kbroxmysox asks: "Do you watch Veronica Mars or The Office, and how do you feel when they name-check your show?"
I don't watch Veronica Mars, even though I know I should because everyone talks about it. And I do watch The Office. I love it when they do the shout-outs! I'm usually directed to them when they happen, and I'll find them on YouTube or someone will send me a clip, and they're very, very cool.

(Quick, someone send this man some frakkin' Veronica Mars DVDs! Plus, check back later for the chat, where we'll have even more from Moore! Yes, it's an embarrassment of BSG riches...Can you stand it?)

Ive been to earth I’m going to take us there in 2008

Hardcore Spoilers Peeps!

Wow! We finally know who the final five (or is it four) are. I can’t say I was surprised but that doesn't change the fact that I was shocked when the reveal came. I predicted Starbuck would be back and I’m glad Apollo (Lee) was the one to see her in her viper. I'm not sure if Starbuck is part of the final five or what the hell was up with her coming back for the last 5 seconds of the show? I seriously just finished watching the show and I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around it. The moment the four people on the ship started hearing the music all I could think was “Hes a totally a cylon, OMG she's a cylon” that is kind of how the rest of the episode went for me. The best part about the final five I think is the fact that Colonel Tigh is in fact a cylon! I love that because he basically is everything that he detested so much. I don’t know how I will be able to go until 08' without new episodes. I really hope SciFi releases webisodes like they have done in the past. I really need more time to gain some perspective on the cylon issue so I will let it marinade in my head for a while. Onto the next plot line.

Baltar not being guilty was another conclusion that seemed rather obvious from the get go. I really didn’t think they would throw him out of the airlock because he is one of the strongest characters BSG has. Lee Adama's speech was basically what set Baltar free. His speech was so extremely powerful that my mouth was open the whole time, I actually think I swallowed a fly (jk). He had some serious big balls for going against his father and basically his people. I do think he was right to point out the hypocrisy in the prosecutions case. My favorite part of the speech was when he said “we are a system built on shame, its easier to dump it out on one man so we can live with ourselves”. Bravo Lee Adama, Bravo! It also didn’t hurt that Lil’ Adama looked like a total babe in his lawyer garb which made the courtroom scene that much better. I do wonder however what Baltars fate will be now that he is homeless and the most hated man alive. Will he be on the run with those Baltar groupies?

On another note. On a show where civilization is on the brink of extinction and space ships and evolved robots are center stage the most unrealistic part of Battlestar is the fact that The hotness that is President Roslin has crater face Adama fever! Ew! OK that was really mean but the only rationale I have for that is there cant be too many suitable bachelors for her considering that the human race is THIS close to being extinct. Alright that whole rant was totally beside the point and not important but its late and I’m trying hard to get all my thoughts together so I’m sure I will post a follow up to this entry because I need some clarity.

Hellow! This made me LOL

I think it's safe to say that out of all the fandom out there in the world Asian fandom is the most off the hook. Check out these pictures of Wentworth Miller from PRISON BREAK in Korea. I think something got lost in translation with "we trust you".WTF was that supposed to mean? The fans there totally rock!I Love You Korea!!

When Fandom Universes Collide

The degrees of separation in the TV fandom world are usually only one or two. Actually I don’t know how true that is but the more I find out about things the more that statement seems to hold true. Just like I love Jenna Fischer for keeping it real and keeping connected with the fans, I love Nathan Fillion for all the same reasons. If for some odd reason your fandom radar needs a tune up he played the lovable Captain Malcolm Reynolds on Firefly, which Joss Whedon created. He was also Kate’s husband on LOST. Damn those Fandom connections! Well here comes the third connection. Before I get anyone too excited I should put the disclaimer out: Nathan Fillion is not going to guest star on the Office (I wish he would though! Maybe to steal Karen away from Jim?) he did however blog about his experience visiting the set on his Myspace blog:
Nathon Fillion:
Unrelated, I had lunch at the Office a few weeks ago. The Annex, the kitchen, the office itself- it's all real! There is so much space between Pam's desk and Dwight's that I never knew about. I rummaged through Michael's safe. I watched as cast members updated their myspace pages and checked their emails while on lunch, but at their character's desks! Can you believe it? Now, many of you may have weirded out- sputtering stupid things excitedly while being ushered around on a first class tour. I'll have you know... I'm not above that. Thank you, Jenna, for putting up with the high pitched squels of excitement, the stupid questions, and demanding that you answer as Pam. Thank you James Gunn, for using your powerful influence to sit me down with the cast. Thank you Joss, for giving me something to talk about with everybody. Go figure, they love the crap outta you, too.
Credit
Mr. fillion was in the movie Slither that Jenna Fischer's Husband Directed. Also to add to the connection list Joss Whedon directed an episode of the office which I’m sure gave him double the street cred or is that set cred? I also love that even though Firefly has been cancelled for a while now he still goes to Conventions. Here is a youtube video of Joss Whedon talking about his work on The Office.

More on why I heart NF on his blog:
As for the updates on what's going on in Nathantainment: Wonder Con was a real lift. All you Browncoats did me a solid and showed some real support. You made me look like a big man in front of my Drive pals. Thanks. You wanna have some fun? Next time, let's play it up a bit. When you come up to ask a question, start with, "Hey Nathan, it's (Your name here) from (your town here). You set my arm when I broke it?" (Or some such other thing I helped you with- job, marriage, lost dog, flat tire, you know!) I'll come back with, "Oh, yeah! How's the arm? You back at tennis?" And you say, "Oh, it's great. My doc couldn't believe how well you set it. Anyways, my question was..." Then, we drop it. Quick and to the point is where the comedy is. Now, the joke won't work if you get extra creative or weird/gross, so keep it real, and we can all have a laugh. I did a special edition commentary with some dear friends for a movie we did, and I'm looking forward to seeing it come out again.

Now before I get too ahead of myself I have to say that I’m not going to put up a front and pretend like I am cool enough to be a “browncoat” or that I have been actively part of the Joss Whedon fandom universe. I bow my geek head in shame as I admit that I barely got around to watching The Firefly series a little over a month ago. I feel the obligation to do a good deed as a newbie. I recommend that you guys buy the firefly series (20 bucks at Target) the show is seriously great fun. If you like scifi and Joss W. you wont be disappointed. OK back to me confessing my fandom sins. I have only seen about 40 episodes of Buffy and Serenity wasn’t on the top of my list of things to watch ( I watched Serenity before firefly and I sooo wish I would have done it the other way around). Every time I have watched something that Joss Whedon has been a part of I am never left disappointed. My friend V (no I’m not delusional I don’t mean V from V for Vendetta) got really addicted to Buffy and watched all 8 seasons in like a month or something insane. Since I am equally as insane or more so I think those 8 seasons are my next assignment. Yikes.

sexy lexy and other stories

There are shows that I have unconditional love for. I guess its kind of like a love for a child or family..OK maybe not THAT kind of love but using the same kind of analogy the show can go on a path that you might not understand or they might disappoint you in some way but you still love them. Am I being over dramatic? Yes. I however don't see myself as a stupid person. I know Smallville has its major flaws and the cheese factor is sky high. My love for super heroes supersedes my disdain for crap shows. Not saying this is a crap show by any means because let me tell you this last episode was off the hook (sorry I thought since I was talking about cheese I would use cheesy tactics). Moving on.

My SEXY LEXY is no longer a free man!! I really didn't think Lana would go through with the wedding. I guess she had no other choice though (that LL is an SOB). How could she resist that beautiful bald head! Didn't she look amazing OMG so much to talk about not enough room! I know I'm totally in the minority but I prefer Lex to Clark any day. Anyway I wonder how they will write LEX out of the smallville universe. I love the show enough to keep on watching after he is gone but it will never be the same without my other TV boyfriend LEX LUTHOR. If you don't already know Michael rosenbaum has decided that season 7 will be his last. I think that Smallville has had an incredible run. I hope the producers understand how important Lex is to the smallville universe and not only because of his hotness but because of the mythology they have created on their show. Seven seasons is very respectable and I would be a happy fan if they ended it on a high note.
Just for fun the LEX/ZOD/CLARK fight because I love the trench coat!! Oh the fight is good too!

PS. Who else misses the Hotness the was the Green Arrow?

Get your drink on! Plus newpeats

Happy St. Patrick's day weekend everyone! In honor of this alcoholic holiday comes a clip brought to you by NBC of the office crew getting their party on!

Also my opinion on Thursdays newpeats:

So I’m watching the office newpeat as we speak! No Internet connection so I can’t post this till tomorrow boooo for me! OK So the newpeats were repeats of The Traveling Salesman and The Return. Let me point out that if you haven’t watched the producers cut of THE RETURN this was a treat for you. The office has such great writers that they can't fit all the funny in a 20 min episode. If you did watch the producers cut on Itunes then you did’t really see anything new other than the Jim/Pam subplot of her art award. Which I will say was worth the hype of the newpeats. How CUTE IS PAM!!!

I think I like her more than Jim at this point!

There was also some Pam/Angela interactions that made me have some serious longing feelings for a Pam/Angela friendship to emerge. What do you think their new name will be? I mean there is already JAM and DWANGELA what will Pam/Angela be called?

Its no secret that I am a JAM shipper. This episode totally gave me a tiny glimmer of hope that something ANYTHING would happen before the season finale. I know what you all are thinking. It was just a high five!! WRONG! Subtle things matter on the office. They(the producers/writers) haven't given us any interactions Ala season 2 from Jim and Pam.It is interesting that they decided to introduce all of the deleted stuff into the plot line before they show a new episode again. The deleted scenes really change what my initial speculation was about the season finale. I guess we will have to wait and see. Great experiment on the producers part!

Shrute Space...oh I mean Web Log

Like reading blogs? Well heres one that I'm sure you will never forget. I present to you the blog of Mr. Dwight K. Shrute! His entries are seriously LOL funny.Especially the one titled WEBLOG (he describes what he wants his funeral to be like). READ IT!

PS. He also thinks that the cylons being others is a very viable idea!
